Biomimetx is a start up company on the Biotech area responsible for the development of the BMX-11 - a powerful "green" biocide useful in different areas including anti-fouling in marine paints. This environmental bacterium, when released into de environment, ensures a full degradation in a short period of time. However, when incorporated in paints, BMX-11 is stabilized and has a prolonged activity and availability, becoming the ultimate anti-fouling agent for submerged surfaces.
